Shriram Associate has developed a self engineer and designed Annapurna dal mill for domestic and commercial use. This Annpurna Dal Machine has production capacity of 300kg per hour to 2.5/3 ton per day. The machine is run with the help of 7.5HP Three Phase Electric Motor. It consists of dal Cleaning machine, dal Sheller machine, Polisher machine, Grader machine and Dryer machine. Basic processes in dal milling (pulses milling) are cleaning, grading, conditioning, de-husking, splitting, shelling, separation, polishing and bagging. It has 3 different functions- a) Pulses De-husking b) Pulses Grading, & c) Pulses Polishing. It can be used for processing all types of Pulses. The output efficiency of the machine for toor dal is 72%-75% while for other pulses like chana, moong, urad, etc is 80%-82%. The splitting efficiency of the machine is claimed at 98% with 2% broken.
